Post Magazine: DigitalGlue opens new production/demo space in Atlanta

DigitalGlue has opened a 27,000-square-foot studio office in Atlanta, offering equipment demos, training, and post-production facilities for the region's booming TV and film industry. The space features advanced technologies, including Silverdraft supercomputers, BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve, and immersive VR setups, alongside a dedicated color grading post room and a large training and conference area. CEO Tim Anderson describes the facility as a “workflow laboratory” where professionals can explore new technologies, complete projects, and experience end-to-end solutions in a real production environment.

ATLANTA — DigitalGlue, the equipment, integration and software development provider, has opened a new studio office in Atlanta, where it can provide equipment demos, training, VR and post production facilities. Located near Atlanta’s Westside area and close to Midtown and Atlantic Station, the new office is nestled within a film and television studio. The 27,000-square-foot space features production facilities and a number of other amenities.

A large training and conference room is equipped with 102-inch interactive whiteboard/projection screen, 7.2-channel surround sound and wireless HDMI connectivity. The offices include a demo room featuring multiple Silverdraft supercomputers for immersive VR, BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve, and 3D animation. There is also a dedicated post room for color grading. Pros have a chance to work with advanced solutions from Red, Silverdraft, Adobe, Harmonic, Blackmagic Design and others.

“This new facility is way beyond a traditional sales office,” says Tim Anderson, CEO of DigitalGlue. “What we are providing to this flourishing TV and film production community in Atlanta is a complete DigitalGlue workflow laboratory. We want customers to come in, try out new technologies, tools and solutions, learn more about how to use them, and even be able to complete projects in our post production suite. No one else is doing anything like this. We’ve created a complete, end-to-end technology environment that demonstrates to industry professionals how they can save time and add value.”

Atlanta offers a multitude of industry opportunities, as supported by the booming production and film industry that took off following the Entertainment Investment Act, passed in 2008. With construction of the new space now completed, DigitalGlue (www.digitalglue.com) plans to hold a multi-day grand opening for broadcast, TV production and post production professionals and vendors.
