DigitalGlue to Provide Harmonic™ Upgrades for Local North Carolina TV Network Workflow Improvement
Raleigh Television Network to Integrate Harmonic Spectrum™ Solutions for Workflow Upgrade
RALEIGH, North Carolina – January 29, 2016 – Raleigh Television Network (RTN), provider of several government access channels to regional viewers, has tapped DigitalGlue to facilitate a workflow upgrade via integration of a Harmonic® Spectrum™ MediaCenter server and Spectrum™ ChannelPort™ integrated channel playout system into the network’s existing infrastructure. The upgrade is anticipated to be fully operational in early 2016.
According to Michael Williams, Assistant Director of Public Affairs, the upgrade will incorporate a move towards HD, with increased storage, scheduling, and playback capabilities through Harmonic’s field proven solutions and DigitalGlue’s effortless integration. Results will include improved workflow and simpler operation.
Sean Busby, DigitalGlue’s president noted that one of the major challenges to a successful workflow is integrating new systems with current deployments. “Spectrum MediaCenter™ will allow for the broadest support of video formats and a wide range of media processing functions, and provides support for ChannelPort,” remarked Busby. “Therefore, the network’s upgrade will simplify workflow integration which secures a future proof system, wherein the system will be easily licensed for added features.”
