Harmonic Powers Creation of Highlights Clips for NBC Olympics Production Workflow
Harmonic infrastructure was once again at the center of the NBC Olympics production workflow. During the Sochi games, NBC Olympics, a division of NBC Sports Group, deployed Harmonic's MediaGrid shared storage and Spectrum MediaDeck 7000 integrated media playout server systems to support their "highlights factory." Staff based in either Sochi or the broadcaster's Stamford, CT facilities were able to quickly access event footage captured in Russia, create highlight clips, and make them available for broadcast and digital platforms.See the press release for more details.
